Interstate-64 from I-170 to Kingshighway underwent a major overhaul. When it was done bikers and
hikers were allowed to travel the highway on Sunday December 6, 2009 before
being open to automobiles on the following Monday. At left are some of the Turtles and Turbos who rode that day.
Turtles and Turbos for Norm
Norm Schultz Memorial Ride
One of our good friends, fellow rider and husband to Mary
Ann Schultz died suddenly in November. To remember Norm many members of the
Turtles and Turbos rode Norm's favorite ride. The ride started at Sailboat
Cove on Creve Coeur Lake. At right is the group as they assembled on the parking lot near Creve Coeur Lake. It was a good
showing to memorialize our friend Norm.
Stu Ferrell, Walter Gusdorf, Jerry and
Jackie Kohler, Jerre Wright, and John Beaudoin.
The photographer was Alan Ranford.
Other bicyclists, shown at left, joined the Norm Schultz Memorial Ride at the Boat Dock in St. Charles, all on their way to New Town.
The destination on Nov. 28, 2009 was New Town in St. Charles County.
